JACKFRUIT HARVEST

JACKFRUIT (Artocarpus heterophyllus) are among popular fruit grown in Malaysia. Total area of jackfruit planted in Malaysia about 3,650 hectare in 2010 with total production of 36.65- metric tonnes.

Fresh jackfruit harvested and kept for 4 days before sent to the market. 


Tekam Yellow varieties among top recommended varieties with very sweet (up to 24 degrees Brix Meter), Crunchy, Crispy and attractive colour.


The gold yellowish flesh colour of Malaysian Jackfruit. Best eaten upon peeled their skin.


Preparation of jackfruit with 'Minimum Process (MP)' and remain fresh after 2-5 days in cold storage.
